Alicia Curran

FOUNDER
 

Alicia has served in communications, public relations, and public policy roles in state government and the private sector. Alicia held leadership positions in the Massachusetts Senate, the Massachusetts Auditor’s Office, and the Florida House of Representatives. She served as the Legislative Director for the former Chair of the Massachusetts Senate Committee on Ways and Means and ran the Communications and Outreach team for the Auditor’s Office.

 Recognizing the impact of communications and media on public policy, she joined the public relations firm Solomon McCown & Company, where she managed award-winning healthcare and public affairs accounts and helped mission-driven organizations elevate the issues that matter most to them.

 Alicia excels where communications and public service meet, making sure the right audiences hear the right message in the right way, achieving results for clients.

 Alicia is a founding board member of Marjory Stoneman Douglas Alumni of New England, Inc. which supports policies to end gun violence in response to the shooting at her alma mater in Parkland, FL. She has served on the Center for Health Information and Analysis Oversight Council and the Massachusetts Sepsis Awareness Advisory Council. She was also a member of the Mayor of Malden’s Advisory Committee on Walkability and is a founding board member for the Run Club of Malden. Alicia holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree from Suffolk University. Alicia lives in Malden, Massachusetts, and enjoys running, traveling, and spending time in the mountains of New Hampshire with her husband and dog.

 

Isabel Blunt

Communications strategist

Isabel has a deep background in strategic communications for nonprofits and large corporations. She served as the Press Secretary for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, directing the media relations efforts across national print, online and TV outlets. Later, at the public relations firm Solomon McCown & Company, she helped healthcare and mission-focused clients reach their communications goals, in addition to working closely with crisis clients, managing internal and external responses and prepping for a wide variety of potential issues. Most recently, Isabel was an AVP and Practice Management Strategist at State Street Global Advisors, where she conducted, interpreted and presented behavioral finance research designed to provide wealth management firms and financial advisors with key insights to help them better run their businesses - and better serve their individual investor clients. 

Isabel serves on the Friends of the Newfields Public Library Board, where she edits the quarterly town newsletter, and on the board of the Acorn School, both on the Seacoast of New Hampshire where she lives with her family.
